1. Is the Gothic walking tour really free?
Yes. The tour works on a tips-based system. That means you can join without paying upfront, and at the end you decide what the experience was worth to you. Most guests leave a tip based on how much they enjoyed the tour.
2. How much is a normal tip for the tour?
The standard answer is you tip what you feel the tour is worth to you, however the market average in Barcelona is €20 per person.

The tour usually lasts around 2 hours. We walk at a relaxed pace with plenty of stops for stories, photos and questions along the way.
4. Is the tour suitable for children or families?
Yes, the tour is suitable for families. The stories are entertaining and easy to follow, although some parts include legends, mystery and darker historical moments, so parents can decide what is best for younger children.
5. Do I need to book in advance?
Most definitely. We always recommend booking in advance, especially as we limit the number of people on the tour to a maximum of 15 guests.
6. What happens if it rains?
The tour will go ahead in rain, so we recommend bringing an umbrella or rain jacket if the forecast looks uncertain. If the weather is extreme, we will contact you about the best option.
7. What should I bring with me?
Comfortable shoes are recommended, as the tour takes place on foot through the old streets of Barcelona. In summer, it is also a good idea to bring water, sunglasses and sun protection.

This tour is small, personal and led by a guide with over 15 years of experience in Barcelona. It is not just about history — it is about stories, legends, atmosphere and understanding the city in a more human way.
